The digital world has reached a new level of absurdity. Yesterday, I wrote about the "digital expropriation" caused by X's new Terms of Service (ToS). I had already left X on January 12, 2026. Today, my friend Rene sent me screenshots of his own conversation with the AI "Grok" – and the AI answered him by citing my blog post as its primary source.

Even though the AI accurately summarizes my points, the manipulative side of its programming is evident. Grok tries to calm the situation by claiming the "peak of panic" is over. This is a classic diversion: leave a small back door open while swinging the main gate wide for data harvesting.

It took less than an hour. After I published this analysis, Rene confronted Grok with the link. The AI openly admitted that the "parasitic cycle" is real: It uses my independent thoughts to explain to users why it's okay to steal their data.
