A Blue Checkmark in the Fake's Profile Picture

I actually wanted to take a little break – away from X, away from the chaos, just some peace and quiet. But then I saw this, and I have to show it to you. It's too absurd to ignore.

Take a look at this fake profile (@elonf_page01 – “Investment us🚀”): What do you notice right away? Exactly: The blue checkmark is directly in the profile picture itself – not next to the username like it's supposed to be!

This is no accident. It's a classic trick to deceive users. The account looks trustworthy at first glance, “verified” – but it's just a fake luring people into scams.

The account claims to be a “Parody Account” – but only posts “DM me for Link 🎁”. Parody and investment scam? How does that fit together? It doesn't. This isn't satire. This is bait for fraud.

And this is exactly one of the reasons why the EU Commission (DSA) just fined X 120 million euros: Deceptive verification symbols!

X has to pay – but is anything changing? Apparently not. Accounts like this keep running, following people (even my friend Ben!), luring them into DMs and redirecting to Telegram, where the real damage happens.

This isn't an isolated case. This is the system. X keeps sleeping – or deliberately looks away.

Ich wollte eigentlich eine kleine Pause machen – weg von X, weg vom Chaos, einfach mal Ruhe. Aber dann sah ich das hier, und ich muss es euch zeigen. Es ist zu absurd, um es zu ignorieren.

Schaut euch dieses Fake-Profil an (@elonf_page01 – „Investment us🚀“): Was fällt euch sofort auf? Genau: Der blaue Haken ist direkt im Profilbild selbst – nicht neben dem Benutzernamen, wie es sein sollte!

Das ist kein Zufall. Es ist ein klassischer Trick, um Nutzer zu täuschen. Das Konto sieht auf den ersten Blick vertrauenswürdig aus, „verifiziert“ – aber es ist nur ein Fake, der Leute in Scams lockt.

Das Konto behauptet, ein „Parodie-Konto“ zu sein – postet aber nur „DM me for Link 🎁“. Parodie und Investment-Betrug? Wie passt das zusammen? Gar nicht. Das ist keine Satire. Das ist Köder für Betrug.

Genau das ist einer der Gründe, warum die EU-Kommission (DSA) X gerade mit einer Geldstrafe von 120 Millionen Euro belegt hat: Irreführende Verifizierungssymbole!

X muss zahlen – aber ändert sich etwas? Scheinbar nicht. Konten wie dieses laufen weiter, folgen Leuten (sogar meinem Freund Ben!), locken sie in DMs und leiten sie zu Telegram weiter, wo der eigentliche Schaden passiert.

Das ist kein Einzelfall. Das ist das System. X schläft weiter – oder schaut bewusst weg.
