Germany has a Basic Law (Grundgesetz). You can read it here:

It guarantees fundamental rights – freedom of expression (Art. 5), telecommunications secrecy (Art. 10), informational self-determination (Art. 2).

But what happens when these very rights are supposed to be hollowed out?

My small phone vs. their big plans

I, for example, have no children. My phone is very small. There is no room on it for verification apps or other EU gimmicks. My phone already gave up on the Corona app. A new phone at today's prices? I simply cannot afford one.

What about people who do not own a smartphone at all – by personal choice? Do they simply not exist for the EU? And what about seniors who do not have a smartphone but use their PC to chat with their grandchildren on Facebook? If verification suddenly only works via an app on a phone, will these people be cut off from the digital world? Will they be effectively made invisible by such regulations because they do not meet the technical requirements? Can anyone answer that for me?

Chat control & AI: Why the technology does not work (yet)

In principle, NLP-based software (Natural Language Processing) could be deployed to detect harmful patterns, keywords and trigger phrases. Modern AI systems could identify harmful content.

But here is the problem: Many AI systems are not continuously trained. They are effectively still living in 2024. That does not work with modern software and today's communication. New trends, new slang, new scam patterns emerge every single day – and outdated AI cannot keep up.

For such a system to work properly, you would need real chat logs from real victims. These people would have to be specifically contacted and asked to cooperate.

And that is exactly what the big players systematically avoid.

Why? Because there is no profit in an NLP-based, victim-centred approach. It requires real work, real conversations, real moderation – none of which generates direct revenue. The safety of normal users would significantly improve – but that is not what the business model cares about.

Why should victims provide their chat logs when they have been treated with nothing but ignorance and indifference by the very same corporations? Makes sense, right?

DSA: A profit machine?

From my own experience: The DSA (Digital Services Act) only responds automatically, confirming that the complaint was received – and then nothing happens. No follow-up. No review. No help.

In my eyes, this is just another profit machine designed to extract money and data from ordinary users.

The big players in politics are now pushing for chat control. What comes next?

What do the news report?

What I find terrible is that TV news channels report absolutely nothing about any of this. The big players make all their decisions behind closed doors. Does this mean that mainstream TV news is already heavily censored?

My decision

I deactivated my X account on January 12, 2026, by my own choice. Reason: The fakes on X were literally suffocating me. I am proud of every single day I am no longer on X.

I take care of my health, my small blog and my little Python projects that are slowly taking shape.

My boyfriend supports me every single second.

For all of that, I do not need any stupid surveillance.

Mein kleines Handy gegen ihre großen Pläne

Ich zum Beispiel habe keine Kinder. Mein Handy ist sehr klein. Für Verifizierungs-Apps und sonstige EU-Spielereien ist da kein Platz drauf. Mein Handy kapitulierte ja schon bei der Corona-App. Ein neues Handy bei den heutigen Preisen? Kann ich mir nicht leisten.

Was ist mit Menschen, die gar kein Handy besitzen – aus Lebenseinstellung heraus? Existieren die dann für die EU nicht mehr? Und was ist mit Senioren, die kein Smartphone haben, aber über ihren PC auf Facebook mit ihren Enkeln schreiben? Wenn Verifizierung plötzlich nur noch über eine App auf dem Handy läuft, werden diese Menschen dann von der digitalen Welt abgeschnitten? Werden sie durch solche Vorgaben faktisch unsichtbar geschaltet, weil sie die technischen Voraussetzungen nicht erfüllen? Kann mir das jemand beantworten?

Chatkontrolle & KI: Warum die Technik (noch) nicht funktioniert

Grundsätzlich ließe sich NLP-basierte Software (Natural Language Processing) einsetzen, die schädliche Muster, Keywords und Trigger-Phrasen erkennt. Moderne KI-Systeme könnten schädliche Inhalte identifizieren.

Aber: Viele KI-Systeme werden nicht fortlaufend trainiert. Sie leben faktisch noch in 2024. Das verträgt sich nicht mit moderner Software und heutiger Kommunikation. Neue Trends, neuer Slang, neue Betrugsmaschen entstehen jeden Tag – und eine veraltete KI kann da nicht mithalten.

Damit so ein System gut arbeiten kann, bräuchte man echte Chatverläufe von echten Opfern. Diese müssten gezielt angeschrieben und um Kooperation gebeten werden.

Und genau das vermeiden die großen Player systematisch.

Warum? Weil sich mit der NLP-Methode kein Profit machen lässt. Es erfordert echte Arbeit, echte Gespräche, echte Moderation – und das bringt keinen direkten Umsatz. Die Sicherheit der normalen User würde wachsen – aber darum geht es im Geschäftsmodell nicht.

Warum sollten Betroffene ihre Chatlogs bereitstellen, wenn sie von denselben Konzernen mit Ignoranz und Gleichgültigkeit behandelt werden? Logisch, oder?

DSA: Ein Profit-Konstrukt?

Aus eigener Erfahrung: Der DSA (Digital Services Act) antwortet nur automatisch, dass die Beschwerde einging – und dann kommt nichts mehr. Keine Rückmeldung. Keine Prüfung. Keine Hilfe.

Für mich sieht das nach einem weiteren Profit-Konstrukt aus, in dem nur Geld und Daten normaler User abgesaugt werden.

Die großen Player der Politik kommen jetzt mit Chatkontrolle. Was kommt als Nächstes?

Schlimm finde ich, dass die TV-Nachrichten so rein gar nichts davon berichten. Die großen Player beschließen alles im stillen Kämmerchen. Soll mir das sagen, dass die normalen Nachrichten im TV bereits stark zensiert werden?

Meine Entscheidung

Ich habe meinen X-Account am 12. Januar 2026 selbst deaktiviert. Grund: Die Fakes von X raubten mir die Luft zum Atmen. Ich bin stolz auf jeden Tag, an dem ich nicht mehr auf X bin.

Ich kümmere mich um meine Gesundheit, meinen kleinen Blog und meine kleinen Python-Projekte, die immer mehr Form annehmen.

Mein Freund unterstützt mich in jeder Sekunde.

Da benötigt es keine dusselige Überwachung.
