Ein Fake namens Bill Pulte auf der Plattform X

On X (formerly Twitter) you sometimes encounter really strange characters.
That happened to me too. A fake account with the name @billpulte299 simply parked itself in my profile.

I was annoyed and asked him politely what he wanted and who he was.

He only replied shortly that he was not Elon. I didn’t believe him for a second – the profile looked fake. So I confronted him.

After that I asked Grok. Her answer was clear:
“Conclusion: The account @billpulte299 is most likely a fake or unofficial account not connected to the real Bill Pulte. The authentic Bill Pulte is active under @pulte …”
I think I scared the fake off. Afterwards I reported the account.
Whether it has been deleted in the meantime, I don’t know.
The real Bill Pulte is known for his philanthropic activities, but he definitely doesn’t go looking for private contact with German women on X. My thesis is confirmed: It was just another typical fake account.
Update April 11, 2026:
On January 12, 2026 I deactivated my account in good conscience. I will not return to X. I don’t need fakes. Real life happens outside – not on the internet. I left X for my own protection.

Auf X (ehemals Twitter) begegnet man manchmal wirklich seltsamen Gestalten.
So ging es auch mir. Ein Fake-Account mit dem Namen @billpulte299 hat sich einfach in mein Profil gesetzt.

Ich war genervt und habe ihn höflich gefragt, was er eigentlich von mir will und wer er ist.

Er antwortete nur kurz, dass er nicht Elon sei. Ich habe ihm kein Wort geglaubt – das Profil sah eindeutig fake aus. Daraufhin habe ich ihn direkt konfrontiert.

Danach habe ich Grok gefragt. Ihre Antwort war klar und hilfreich:
„Conclusion: The account @billpulte299 is most likely a fake … The authentic Bill Pulte is active under @pulte … Be cautious when interacting with unknown accounts…“
Ich denke, ich habe den Fake damit verschreckt. Danach habe ich den Account gemeldet.
Ob er inzwischen gelöscht wurde, weiß ich nicht.
Der echte Bill Pulte ist bekannt für seine Spendenaktionen, aber er sucht sicher nicht gezielt privaten Kontakt zu deutschen Frauen auf X. Meine These ist damit bestätigt: Es war wieder einmal nur ein typischer Fake-Account.
Update vom 11. April 2026:
Ich habe meinen Account am 12. Januar 2026 mit gutem Gewissen deaktiviert. Ich will auch nicht mehr zurückkehren. Ich brauche keine Fakes. Das echte Leben findet draußen statt – nicht im Internet. Ich habe X aus Selbstschutz verlassen.
